Obituary of Brenda Gecik

Bridgewater, NJ – Brenda Gecik, 57, died May 9, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Somerville, NJ on April 6, 1959 to her late parents, Clara Arenas and Edward Gecik. Brenda had worked at Sanofi-Aventis in Bridgewater, NJ. In addition she was an accomplished postal carrier, hairdresser, bus driver, bartender, medical billing clerk, server, and a "temp". She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt. Brenda enjoyed riding her motorcycle, and spending time with her family and beloved dogs, Montana and Tehya. She was full of life and strong willed, and had a keen sense of humor! Brenda was an extremely kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Brenda is survived by her beloved children, William Hagerty and wife Brittnee of Raritan, Kristina Hagerty and fiancée Timothy Taylor of PA, her loving sister, Deborah Gecik of Whitehouse Station, four wonderful grandchildren, Hayden, Olivia, Ashlyn and Milo, niece and goddaughter, Alyssa DeStefano, her great-nephew, Jaxson, and also her boyfriend, Gregg Wachterhauser.
