New Britain, CT – Percy "Pat" J. Brighenti, 94, died May 20, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Avon, CT on December 3, 1921 to his dear late parents, Dorothea LaMount MacCaffee and Marcello Brighenti.
Pat was a Correctional Officer at Chesire Reformetory in Chesire, CT, served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he received the Connecticut Wartime Veterans Service Medal. He was a member of the Prince Savoy Italian Club in Avon CT and the Boy Scout Leader in New Britain CT. Pat enjoyed gardening, cooking, golfing, traveling, and was an avid Mets Fan. He was a Christian Gentleman, a strong willed renaissance man, and was kind, caring, generous, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Pat is survived by his beloved wife, Norma Fiora Brighenti of 66 years, his loving children, Rev. Kenneth D. Brighenti, Phd, and Priscilla Brighenti Collin, four dear brothers, Robert, John, Marcello, and Julio Brighenti, three loving sisters, Mary Barber, Ruth Bentley, and Dorothy Warner, three wonderful grandchildren, Marcella Collin, Michelle Crossley, Melissa Czeremaha, five adorable great-granchildren, Patrick Kane, Bella and Gabriella Crossley, Nathan and Tyler Czeremcha, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Theodore Fiora and Mr. & Mrs. David Brady.

Funeral Services, Thursday, May 26, 2016, viewing 9:00 to 10:00 am at Duksa Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Avenue, Newington, CT 06111, (1-860-666-0600) followed by a 11:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley Street, New Britain, CT 06053.
Burial, St. Joseph's Cemetery, 522 Terryville Avenue, Bristol, CT 06010.
