Josephine Benincasa, 74, died peacefully on July 12, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Somerville, NJ, on January 6, 1942, to her dear parents Joanina Marvuglio and Acongala Rosario Benincasa. Josephine attended Bound Brook High School. She was a machine operator for Devro of Somerville. Josephine raised her 3 children as a single mother and was devoted to her many cats and dogs.
Josephine is survived by her 3 loving sons, John Zakzewski, Joseph Zakzewski and wife Christine, and James Zakzewski, 4 cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Jessica, Benjamin and Joseph, 4 dear sisters and 1 brother, Linda, Serafina, Rosalie, Angelina, and John. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Daniel, and 2 sisters, Concetta and Victoria.
Viewing, Friday July 15, 2016, 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869 (908) 725-1887. Burial is private.
