Obituary of Rosina Marasia

RARITAN-     Rosina “Rose” Marasia, 90, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.  She was born on October 8, 1927 to the late Rose and Giovanni Ritorto in Calabria, Italy.

Rose came to Raritan in 1947 where she lived most of her life.  She was a talented seamstress who was employed by Giddings in Raritan.  She loved to sew, crochet, play Bingo, shop, cook, bake and travel.  Carrying out Italian traditions with family and friends meant a lot to her.  She was a kind, caring and generous with a good sense of humor.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Rose was predeaced by her husband Antonio “Nino” Marasia on May 22, 2007 and Two sisters Domenica and Joanne. 

She is survived by her three daughters Catherine (Ralph) Trecozzi, Joann (Shen Jay) Ma and Maryann (Frank) Ottomanelli; grandchildren Maryann, Christina, Stephanie and Brandon; 5 great grandchildren Michael, Kathryn, Olivia, Julian and Gianna and two sisters Angelina and Mary.

Viewing Friday, January 5, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the funeral home. Followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Ann Church 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ. Entombent at St. Bernard Mausoleum in Bridgewater.
