Obituary of Alice Strampp

Alice Strampp, 80, a lifelong resident of Hillsborough, died Saturday, May 12, 2018. She was born on November 2, 1937 to her loving parents, the late Sophie (Szabo) and Karl Strampp. Alice was predeceased by her beloved sister, Elaine Strampp (Jan. 30, 2007). She was a graduate of Douglass College earning a Ph.D in 1959 and obtaining a graduate degree from Rutgers Graduate School-New Brunswick in 1968. Alice was employed by Carter Wallace, Inc. in Cranbury, NJ, as a Senior Research Scientist in Microbiology before she retired. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and growing her own vegetables, as well as spending time with her pets, especially her dog Molly. Alice had many friends in the community and was an active member of the congregation of Christian Community Chapel in Hillsborough. She was a strong supporter of charities, particularly those providing care for animals. All those who knew Alice will remember her as smart, caring and generous person.
