Obituary of Angelina DeFina

RARITAN- Angelina Marasia DeFina, 87, of Raritan died Sunday, June 3, 2018 surrounded by loved ones at RWJ/Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. Angelina was born November 30, 1930 in S. Onofrio (VV), Italy and moved to the United States, settling in Brackenridge, PA where she resided until 1968 when she moved with her family to Raritan. Angelina was a seamstress at Giddings in Middlesex and at Christy's Fashions in Raritan. She was a frequent communicant of the Catholic Church of St. Ann where she attended mass daily and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Mrs. DeFina enjoyed cooking for her family and crocheting afghans and baby blankets for them. All who knew her will remember her as a kind and caring person who was extremely devoted to her family. Angelina is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Frank, daughters Josephine Taddeo (Frank) of Raritan, Maria Colonna (Dan), of Pleasant Hills, PA, her daughter-in-law Patricia DeFina of Colonia, NJ, grandchildren Frank Taddeo (Paola), Anthony Taddeo, Mario Taddeo (Nancy), Frank DeFina (Cynthia), James DeFina and Jena Lindenmuth, her great-grandchildren Nick, Nik, Krista, Gabriella, Gianluca, Frankie, Natalie, Mario and Francesco and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and numerous friends. She is predeceased by her son Frank DeFina (July 26,2015), brothers Antonio and Ralph Marasia, her sisters Marianne DiLeo, Pauline Facciolo and Josephine Cichello. Viewing Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887. Funeral services Wednesday, June 6, 2018 beginning with a viewing from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Ann 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ. Entombment will be conducted at St. Bernard Cemetery/Mausoleum in Bridgewater, NJ. "FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS"
