Obituary of Robert Slack

Robert "Bob" Slack, 89, of Raritan, died at home on August 19, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 13, 1929 in Raritan, NJ, to his parents Catherine (Disbusky) and Cyrenus Slack. Bob was a heavy machine operator at PSE&G for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and traveling to Hawaii, California and Europe. He was a member and usher at St. Bernard's Church in Bridgewater and a member of the Raritan Senior Citizens, who voted his coffee as the "Best Coffee". Bob was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend. He was kind, caring and generous, and will truly be missed by all that knew him. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Rose M. (Amato) Slack, his loving children, Rosemarie (Slack) Cavin and her husband Tom, and Robert Slack Jr., and his cherished granddaughter, Olivia. He was predeceased by his parents, and 3 siblings.
