Mario warmed our hearts with his beautiful smile and spirit.
Pete, Rose, Maria, and Mario joined our family for dinners filled with good food, laughter, and wine. Happy times with wonderful people.
His kindness to our dear Aunt Urs eased her grief when she lost her dear Dante. Mario would pop in, drink grappa, help weed her garden, and share fond memories that brightened her life.
He was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed.

Mario was a dear friend of our family since the 50's. He will certainly be missed. We lovingly nicknamed him "faccia brutta" which is totally a joke because he was such a handsome man. In fact, he was lovely inside and out. Mario always talked of his family back home and of his love, Maria, with whom I'm sure he's delighted to be reunited. Ciao, caro Mario. Ci vediamo. Un abbraccio forte. Sarai sempre nei nostri cuori - <3 tua familia italiana americana

MARIO MARIO... I love you!! He is my friend. I met Mario at the Moose Lodge thru my boyfriend at the time. We even was over for dinner that he made us and picked everything from his garden. His wife was gone at that time and I even knew her and remember when she passed away in italy :( . I work for Mario's doctor who he has been seeing and I was reunited with seeing him at the office. I also sent him a card that I was thinking of him. I have so so many memories and the stories from Mario. I just love him he is a wonderful man and he loved his wife unconditioning!! Mario was and is a true gentleman. He is now reunited with him beautiful wife with the lord. Godbless and love to you all . Judy from Raritan and MFP office.

Dear Mario,
back in 1956 you left with a suitcase full of hopes that were granted to you.
Your life has been full of satisfactions and affections.
Even if you lived physically away from your family of origin, we have always been close to you, like you, to us, with the heart.
In these years we have talked about joys and sorrows. When you called us, it was always a moment of great joy for everyone and you told us about you, your friends and your American life.
Laura and Cesare were lucky enough to visit you and their stay was truly fantastic, you made them feel at home and they will never forget this.
Your sister Marisa was always waiting to your return to Italy to be able to enjoy your happy company.
Now you have left us to begin a new path, we hope that you have already met your beloved Maria. May the path not be serious to you.
Your family in Italy
