Obituary of Frank James Morrison

Frank J. Morrison, 82, of Pittstown, New Jersey, formerly a 42 year resident of Lebanon Township, passed away on February 29, 2020, peacefully with his loving wife, Diane, by his side. Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 11, 1938. He graduated from Somerville High School and enlisted in the United States Army serving three years as a Radar Technician. Frank was in charge of troubleshooting and repairing of the ground radar system for the Corporal Guided Missile. While in the Army, Frank graduated from Electronics & Guided Missile School, Transistor Design School and Electronics Central Technical School. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. Frank was the Engineer/Owner of F & M Technical Sales, an Engineering Representative Company. Representing various microwave subsystem companies and the military throughout the United States, France and England. Frank retired in 2004. Previously, he was a manufactures’ representative with CDB Enterprises; he was a Senior Microwave Engineering Associate with RCA, and worked at various engineering firms. While at RCA, Frank’s work was instrumental in the Apollo Program and contributed to the success of the United States’ goal of landing a Man on the Moon. Frank served as a committeemen and Deputy Mayor for Lebanon Township, he was a member of the Hunterdon County Republican Committee, a former High Bridge Councilman and Hunterdon Country Freeholder Candidate. Frank was one of four Founders and a coach of the Hunterdon Huskies Pop Warner Football Program. He was inducted into the organizations “Hall of Fame” in 2006. In addition, Frank coached Lebanon Township Recreational Baseball, was a member of two Hunterdon County Pool Leagues, and volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America. Frank was an avid Jets and Mets fan; enjoyed traveling to Jamaica, gardening, and swimming in his pool. Spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching them play sports was a big part of his life. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Diane of 42 ½ years, his daughters, Kimberly (Jim) Holthaus of High Bridge, NJ, Kathleen Baugher of Bethlehem, PA, step-daughter, Karen (Dave) Hudock of Pittstown, NJ and step-son, Kevin Vreeland of Parrish, FL. His grandchildren Katie, Clark, Ryan, Erin, Olivia, Austin, Sean, Regan, David and Stephen. His brothers John Morrison (Diane) of Hendersonville, TN, and Robert (Joan) Morrison of Brewerton, NY. And many nieces and nephews. Frank is preceded in death by his son, Keith Morrison, his sisters, Mary Barwick, Eleanor Hutchinson, and his parents, Frank and Mary Morrison. Viewing Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887. Funeral Mass 11:00am on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at St. Ann Church 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, N.J. followed by a burial at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater, N.J.
