BRIDGEWATER-   Alan Tyler, 74, died on Thursday, August 13, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on August 15, 1945 to the late Miriam and Edward Tyler in Elizabeth, NJ.

Alan resided in Union, NJ before moving to Bridgewater, NJ in 1987.  He was a graduate of Union High School Class of 1963.  Alan retired from General Motors in Linden, NJ after 42 years as a UAW member.  He was an avid gardener, coin collector and an awesome cook.  Alan truly enjoyed taking cruises.  He loved and cherished spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter.  Alan will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Alan is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Toni, his loving children Denise Tasco (Thomas), Edward Tyler (Maria Mastice), Renaye Krachun (Frank III) and Daniel Tyler (Carrie), cherished grandchildren Anthony (Stefanie), Dominic, Frank, Anna, Luke, Emily and Amanda and a great granddaughter Charlotte Rose.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 with a prayer service to be conducted at 5:30PM at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887.
