Obituary of Eugene G. Romeo

BRIDGEWATER-          Eugene G. Romeo, 62, died on Friday October 16, 2020.  He was born on June 14, 1958 in Perth Amboy to the late Frances and Frank Romeo.

Eugene resided in North Plainfield, NJ before moving to Bridgewater, NJ in 1987.  He was a member of the Laborer Local #3 and a member of the Italian American Club in No. Plainfield, NJ.  Eugene enjoyed listening to the Blues and watching John Wayne movies.  He was an avid Vikings fan, Mets fan and golf fan.  Eugene will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Eugene is survived by his beloved wife Denise, loving daughters Cathy Sorensen and son-in-law Brian, and Rebecca McLane and son-in-law Tim, cherished grandchildren Leonardo and Luca Sorensen, a brother Christopher Romeo and a very dear cousin Elizabeth Zampella. 

A Celebration of his Life will be Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (www.nationalmssociety.org) or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (www.giving.mskcc.org).
