Obituary of Caroline M. Yashinski
Caroline M. Yashinski died peacefully at her home in Hillsborough on March 23, 2021. She was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Jasinski and was born in Somerville in 1961. She attended Somerville schools, graduating from Somerville High School in 1979. She started working for Somerset County in the Purchasing Department right after graduation and worked there for 33 years, before having a stroke in 2013.
She especially enjoyed living with her husband Pete, and raising her boys in their log cabin home in Hillsborough, surrounded by woods and farmland. While Pete grew vegetables, Caroline liked flower gardening. She was a talented cook and hostess and family and friends appreciated many happy celebrations in their cabin and yard. Going to the Jersey shore for summer vacation was a special time for Caroline and her family. All who knew her will miss her smile.
Caroline is survived by her husband of 31 years, Peter, and two sons, Captain Stephen Yashinski (US Army) and his wife, Tori, of East Sacramento, CA and Brian Yashinski of Raritan. Caroline is survived by two sisters, Marcia McNicholl and Judy Jasinski and four nephews and a niece.
