Obituary of Gabriel Torres

BAYVILLE-     Gabriel Torres, 97, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021.  He was born on March 18, 1924 in Puerto Rico to the late Petra and Caesar Melendez Torres.

Gabriel enjoyed fishing and playing baseball.  He was an avid Mets fan.  All who knew him will remember him as a kind, caring and loving man.

Gabriel is survived by his beloved children Gabriel Jr., William, King, Eva and Lourdes Torres, 19 loving grandchildren, 23 cherished great-grandchildren, a sister, a brother and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his wife Santia, parents, 3 brother and 3 sisters.

Visitation from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Boulevard, Toms River, NJ (732) 505-1900.  Burial will take place in Puerto Rico.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887.
