Obituary of Eric A Lips

Eric A. Lips, 48 years old, of Hillsborough, NJ passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021,  following a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born in South Charleston, WV on June 12, 1973.  He graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Planning and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University.   He was employed as a Civil Engineering Professional in the Engineering Division of the Somerset County (New Jersey) Department of Public Works.

Eric was the beloved husband of Dipali Lips for 20 years and devoted father to his daughters, Sonia and Adriana.  He will be sadly missed by his mother, Kathy Parsons and sister, Monique Lips of South Charleston, West Virginia; sisters, Alexandra Aiello and Margaret Lips, brothers Johannes Lips of New Jersey, brothers Allen Lips and Aaron Lips of West Virginia, special Aunt and Uncle Linda Nehr and Bill Nehr of West Virginia; cousins David Nehr and Molly Nehr of Ohio.  In addition, Eric will be missed by his father In-law and mother In-law, Arvind Salvi and Jivan Salvi of Hillsborough, NJ, his brother In-law and sister In-law, Shailen Salvi and Swati Salvi, and his nieces, Ashali Salvi and Anjali Salvi, of Easton, PA.

At his direction, Eric will be cremated with arrangements under the direction of the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Ave Raritan, NJ 08869, telephone 908-725-1887.  A viewing will be held on Sunday October 17, 2021, between 1:00pm and 3:00pm at the funeral home.  All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in Eric’s name to the American Cancer Society.  The family requests that all donations to the American Cancer Society be designated exclusively for research on curing Mucosal Melanoma.   All donations are requested by check and should include “Eric Lips - for Mucosal Melanoma research” on the memo line.   Mail to American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.
