Obituary of Kenneth S Pizzo Sr.

Kenneth Sylvester “Poppy” Pizzo, Sr., 80, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey and Jupiter, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2021, surrounded by family and friends. 

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Abbey, on the campus of the Delbarton School, located at 230 Mendham Road, Morristown, NJ 07960 on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11:00am, and all are invited to join the family beginning at 9:30am, for a breakfast gathering prior to the service.

Predeceased by his beloved father Sylvester Natale Pizzo, and dear mother Teresa Marie (née Checki), Ken was born in Hackensack, NJ and raised in nearby Lyndhurst, where he forged lifelong friendships with his high school class of 1959. While widely known for his work ethic, business acumen, generosity and humility, Ken counted being a father, grandfather and mentor to so many, as his greatest achievements.

He is survived by his loving companion of 25 years, Deborah Marsella, his sons Kenneth S. Pizzo, Jr. (Meaghan), Jason W.B. Pizzo (April), daughters Kimberly Bennett (Todd) and Melissa Toledo, along with grandsons Todd, Phillip, Kenneth III, Dominic, Jack, Julian and Fox, and granddaughters Elliana, Isabella, Maria and Mia and Deborah’s sons James Marsella (Savannah) and Frank Marsella (Addie), daughter Falyn Marsella,
