Barbara J. Keelen, age 88, died July 22, 2022 at the Avalon on Rt 28 Bridgewater NJ. She was born on December 6,1933 in Jamaica New York to her late parents Genevieve Ferri and George Donovan. 

Barbara is survived by her loving children Robert J. (Fran) Keelen, James T. (Barbara) Keelen, Patrick Keelen and Kathleen Ann DeTommaso, her sister in law Irene Donovan, her 10 grandchildren Michael, Donna, James, Bryan, Dana, Kyle, Shane, Laura Leigh, C.J. and Robbie and her 13 great grandchildren Noah, Nathanial, Dominic, Charley Grace, Kaiden, Michael, Jonah, Elijah, Nicole, Kobe, Mia, Lucca and Nico. 

Barbara was predeceased by her wonderful husband of 62 years James P Keelen, a brother Walter Vincent Donovan, a sister Patricia Marie Kane and a son in law Fred DeTommaso.

Barbara was a homemaker who loved knitting and through the years made over 5000 baby knitted hats and donated them to area hospitals and also hospitals in Clarksville Georgia where she lived for over 20 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.  Barbara was a kind and generous person who was a dedicated parishioner at Holy Trinity Church in Bridgewater NJ.

A viewing will be held on Monday August 1, 2022  from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt 202 S Branchburg NJ (908)-526-7638.  Family and friends are invited to gather at the Branchburg Funeral Home on Tuesday August 2, 2022 from 9:00am to 10:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, Holy Trinity Church 60 Maple Street Bridgewater NJ.  Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery Brooklyn NY with family at a later date.
