Obituary of Giovanna Figliano

Giovanna Figliano, 95, died December 12, 2022 at her home.
She was born August 2, 1927, to her late parents Rosa and Basilio Cugliari. She was predeceased by her husband, Fortunato Figliano who died September 18, 2011.
Giovanna came to the United States in 1954 with her young family and has resided in Raritan since. She was a seamstress who loved to cook and bake. Giovanna was very devoted to her family, St. Anthony, and her faith. She was a communicant of St. Ann Church.
She is survived by her dearest children, Joseph (Raffaela), Basil (Cheryl), son-in-law Pat Barbieri, her grandchildren Antonietta Phelan (Christopher), Adrian Barbieri (Christina), Fred Figliano (Gina), Anthony Figliano (Rosa), Jenna, Alyssa, Joseph Figliano; her great grandchildren Ethan, Peyton, Natalie, Camaron, Harrison and brothers Joseph, Santo, and Frank.
Giovanna is predeceased by her husband, parents, daughter Maria Barbieri, brother Michael and sister Maria.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 4:00-7:00PM at the Bongiovi Funeral Home 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887. Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 10:30-12:00 noon at the Funeral Home. A Funeral mass will be held 1:00PM, at St. Ann’s Church, 45 Anderson St., Raritan, NJ. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater NJ.
