Obituary of Robert D Lunger

Raritan, NJ

Robert Daniel (Danny) Lunger, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 1, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born on February 7, 1956 in Hartford, Connecticut and moved to Brooklyn shortly after where he was raised with his brothers Joel and David Lunger.    

Danny was a devoted father, husband, and brother. He cherished his time with his kids, wife, and family. He always made sure his kids received everything they wanted and more. Danny was also a music lover, aspiring Beatles band member, and a big fan of the Yankees. Even when he was ill, he loved making jokes and enjoying some laughs. 

He is survived by his wife Annalyn Lunger, children Maurice and Michelle Lunger, his two brothers Joel and David Lunger, and his sister in-law Ledwina Garferio who all brought joy to his life. 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 10-12pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ (908) 725-1887. After the service, his cremains will be buried at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Danny’s memory to the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan NJ or his home at 2 Roderer Drive Raritan, NJ 08869.

A special thanks to Annalyn Lunger and his children for making sure he was loved and cared for when he was ill. To Mai Le for helping organize the funeral. To Ledwina Garferio for making sure his family was looked after. To Dr. Romeo Caballes for all his help and support throughout the years. And lastly, thank you to Pastor Charlene for praying for him and his family before he passed peacefully. He is in a better place now looking over his family, eating good food, and listening to his favorite music.
