Obituary of Catherine Patricia Volanoski

Lehigh, PA.-  Catherine Patricia Volanoski, 83, died on Friday, September 15, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on May 22, 1940 to the late Carmela and Michael Sarno in Manville, NJ.

Catherine grew up in Raritan, NJ and later in life resided in Bound Brook, NJ, Hillsborough, NJ before retiring after 40 years as a waitress from the Chimney Rock Inn restaurant in Bridgewater, NJ. to live in the State of Virginia.  Devoted to her faith she attended church and was a former member of the St. Ann Church Ladies Auxiliary.  In her spare time Catherine enjoyed weekly BINGO outings with her friends.  Above all she was a hardworking, kind, caring and generous woman who always put the needs of others before hers.  Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Catherine is survived by her beloved daughters Janine Pignatone and Angel Hunsicker (Scott),  loving granddaughter Peyton Brueckl, cherished great grandson Jaxson Martir, siblings Carmela Dowling, Patty Dolson (George), Michael Sarno (Debbie), and Carmine Sarno (Linda) and a host of family members.  She is predeceased by her husband Carl, her sisters Joni DePoe and Barbara Sarno.
