Obituary of Nicola DiBetta
Nicola DiBetta, 91, of Raritan, died New Year’s Day, January 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to parents Anna Potenza and Filippo Dibetta on March 21, 1932, in Stefanaconi, Italy.
Nicola is survived by two sons, Philip (Nancy) DiBetta and Paul (Crystal) DiBetta, one daughter Anna (Ken) DiGraziano, a brother, Dominic (Shana) Dibetta, a sister, Catherine (Angelo) Viscariello, six grandchildren, Nicole DiGraziano, Anthony (Jamie) DiGraziano, Nancy (Ian Vaughn) DiGraziano, Adam (Yesenia Mendez) Dibetta, Sarafina (Jacob) Dibetta-Fericy and Nicolas Dibetta, and seven great-grandchildren, Leo, Nicolas, Hayden, Silas, KJ, Luciana and Gianna.
He is predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife, Anna Dibetta, brother, Frank Dibetta and sister, Nancy Natale.
Nicola was a generous and kind man, devoted husband, loving father, and dear Nonno. He was incredibly hardworking, and loved to care for and entertain his family, friends, and neighbors. He was an avid vegetable gardener, loved to make wine, and found satisfaction in sharing the fruits of these hobbies with those he loved.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A viewing will take place on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 4 PM - 7 PM and Friday January 5, 2024, from 8:30 - 9:30 AM at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ. A 10AM funeral Mass will be held at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, 45 Anderson Street Raritan, NJ. Mass will be followed by entombment at St. Bernard Cemetery, 551 Route 28 Bridgewater, NJ.
