Josephine “Dolly” Serchia Esposito
Loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother.
Josephine Esposito, 92 of Bridgewater, NJ died on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Crestpointe Rehabilitation in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Bridgewater over 50 years and worked at the Raritan Bakery while raising her family in the 70s. A devoted Catholic, she was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Bridgewater. Josephine enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking her famous meat balls, and volunteering at church.
She is predeceased by her parents, Nicola and Anna Serchia, her loving husband of 72 years Luigi, three sisters, Sophia, Julia, Millie, and three brothers, Patsy, Peter and Joseph.
Josephine is survived by her children, Louis Esposito (Cathy) of Warren, NJ, Janet Haymes (Rick) of Point Pleasant, NJ, and Richard Esposito (Sue) of North Port, FL. Six grandchildren; Jennifer, Richard, Christopher, Anica, Shaun, and Liana, and six great grandchildren, Olivia, Julia, Vincent, Carmine, Gianna, and newborn Cole Alexander. She cherished many family members and friends, all who knew her will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be at Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Ave., Raritan, NJ on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 1 PM-5PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 60 Maple Street, Bridgewater, NJ. Entombment will follow at Saint Bernard Cemetery, Route 28 Bridgewater.
