Obituary of Helen Van Horn
RARITAN- “Loving wife, mother and grandmother” Helen Van Horn, age 93, died on Thursday, February 22, 2024. She was born on January 9, 1931 to the late Helen and Michael Dudinyak in Hazelton, PA.
Helen resided in Raritan for the past 58 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough. Helen devoted her time volunteering at the church BINGO, church programs, Raritan First Aid Squad, and the ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed her flower garden, and cooking for her family and friends. She was employed as a clerk typist at Crim Elementary School, Bridgewater from 1984 - 2006. Helen will be remembered to all who knew her as a kind, caring, loving, generous woman who was extremely dedicated to her family.
Helen is survived by her beloved children Raymond VanHorn (Marisa) and Michele Perelka (Thomas), loving grandchildren Michael John Vincent VanHorn and fiancé Shannon Settle and Matthew John Vincent VanHorn and Mikayla Stephanie VanHorn and a sister Agatha Synoraski.and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Charles VanHorn (October 28, 1986), a son Michael John VanHorn (1967) and a sister Irene Ciocca.
